In Their Own Voices - Available on DVD
In Their Own Voices is an interwoven portrait of four African immigrants in Philadelphia, who in practicing their different crafts reveal the African continent as their source of inspiration. In Their Own Voices, a 16-minute cinéma verité documentary, features a Liberian drummaker, a Sierra Leonean singer, a Nigerian visual artist and a Guinean artisan. A photographic exhibition of stills taken during the production will accompany the screening at the opening Reel Voices' Africa Film Series on Thursday January 13, 2005.
