REEL VOICES and
South Sudanese Association in
Philadelphia welcome Nyankol Mathiang to her first concert in
Philadelphia. Nyankol Mathiang is the premier
music artist of Southern Sudan. She combines traditional Dinka styles
with modern beats making her music readily accessible to fans of East

in her current CD release, Doot Ku Bai. This
concert
will be filmed for THE
SURVIVORS, a REEL VOICES documentary on the adjustment of 3 Southern
Sudanese young men to life in Philadelphia, a joint production with Philadelphia Public
Television WYBE-TV for
Independent Television Service,
funded by Corporation for Public
Broadcasting.
